Known as the Spanish Sardines Capital of the Philippines, the province of Zamboanga del Norte is engaged in the fast-rising industry called the Spanish Sardines Industry. In fact, there are now 23 registered producers of Spanish sardines whose market already include USA, Canada, Italy, and other European countries. The industry’s average production volume annually greatly enhances the province’s economy and it is still growing up to present.
To date, the foreign market of bottled sardines is unlimited - demand still far outweighs supply and despite the number of processors that have since joined the growing industry but it still could not cope with the demand for the product.
Hence, in July 2008, Ms. Rosa R. Lim, joined the industry through TITA ROSA FOOD PRODUCTS, INC. It is operating under Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) License to Operate No. RDII-RIX-F 1802 and SEC registration no. CS200928951.
The processing plant sits on a 1,168 sq.mt-lot. The area provides the processing plant sufficient space for processing. It is located in Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte, just 19 kilometers away from Dipolog City. Commitment to world class quality is ensured by rigid quality control inspection in a sanitary processing facility.
That is why in April 2009, after having been inspected by the BFAR HACCP (Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) team, it was granted the HACCP compliance certification declaring the products of TITA ROSA FOOD PRODUCTS, INC. as manufactured under the HACCP system for assuring food safety in compliance with USFDA CFR 123 Title 21.
In the same month, it was granted the HALAL certification declaring that TITA ROSA products are lawful and safe for consumption.
The plant is registered with United States Food and Drugs Administration (US FDA) having submitted the process filings for FCE, SID, and Bioterrorism Act.
